Frequent Questions

Q. Are there harmful and non-harmful molds?

A. Not all the molds are harmful, some are useful and others are pathogenic, causing various illnesses to humans and animals.

Q. How do I know I have Mold?

A. If you have moisture problem in the house and/or you smell "musty" or "earthy" odor, it is likely you have a mold problem. Discolorations on surfaces could also be due to mold growth. Since mold will not grow without moisture, it is important to dry out wet or moist areas within 24 to 48 hours to prevent mold growth.

Q. I have three different estimates, and the prices vary greatly. Why?

A. There are a number of different factors that go into pricing a remodeling project. Be sure that every estimate has the same scope of work. If the estimates are vague and you cannot interpret that information, go back to the contractor for clarification in writing. If you can't get written clarification, it may be wise to eliminate that contractor from the bidding process.
